RCGP Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse Part 2

Course Overview

This course equips practitioners and advocates with the advanced skills required to meet the needs of more complex drug users, thus fulfilling the role of Practitioners with Special Clinical Interest in drug misuse.

The course has been evaluated by the National Addiction Centre.

This course is updated each year and is in line with the current UK Clinical Guidelines 2017.

The course continues to build on its existing successful formula and incorporates new developments in best practice guidance, exploring the evidence that underpins it.

The course has always prided itself on its multidisciplinary learning principles and these have been developed further in response to a number of new sections in the Clinical Guidelines Update, including non-medical prescribing.

The course is aimed at GPs and other interested practitioners who wish to develop their skills further and have a particular interest in the field as leaders and drivers of development in their workplace or locality. It involves self-directed learning, and all the information required to complete is set out in the handbook which you will receive at the beginning of the course.
